CHRISTOPHER COKER SCHWAN was born in Meridian, Mississippi on December 25, 1977. Mr. Schwan received his undergraduate education at The University of Alabama, (B.S., cum laude in Music Education, 2001), his M.B.A. from The University of Alabama Manderson Graduate School of Business (2005), and his law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law (J.D. 2005). While an undergraduate, and as law student, Mr. Schwan served as a drum major for The University of Alabama Million Dollar Band. Mr. Schwan was an Editor of the Journal of the Legal Profession while in law school, and served as a research assistant for Professor Joseph A. Colquitt, assisting him in the research and writing of several published articles, including "Rethinking Entrapment," published in The American Criminal Law Review (2005), and "The Alabama Criminal Code: 25 Years and Counting," published in the Alabama Law Review (2005).
Mr. Schwan is admitted to practice in the State of Alabama and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.
Mr. Schwan's practice emphasizes the representation of individuals, professional groups and businesses in organizational, regulatory and other business matters, and related litigation.
